Westmeath Senior Hurling Team Raharney secured their third county championship of the decade after beating nearest rivals, and the 2009 champions Clonkill, by a solitary point in a dramatic final just a few weeks ago. Break For Ball were delighted for them as they had hosted Raharney for a weekend back in March. At the time here’s what manager Johnny Greville said of their weekend:

“Everything was perfect - great facilities and it all ran exactly with the itinerary. It worked out great as a pre season bonding session and we could not ask for anymore than that as the lads enjoyed every minute of it. The archery, kayaking and the Adventure Run was great, whilst the Challenge Match was good as well. On the Sunday morning the Video Analysis and the chat with Paudie Butler was exceptional and a huge help to the lads who all got something out of it.”
