Break for Ball hosts Under-15 team from Portmarnock

02 November 2010

Back in early October of this year, the young footballers of Naomh Mearnog in Dublin headed off on a two night Team Building Weekend to the beautiful Avon Ri complex in Wicklow. Archery, orienteering and kayaking activities were experienced along with quality coaching and a challenge game against local side Blessington. Club officials felt that this was not only a well-deserved break, but also a way of giving their young people a chance to train, play and prepare like professionals. According to the team Manager Dave Storey, the Break For Ball Team Building Weekend in Wicklow was an extension of the club’s investment in their youth. After an exhilarating two days and two nights of activities and Team Bonding, the team management pointed to a few highlights of the weekend for all concerned.

"Without a doubt the training session was the highlight for us, and Kevin certainly is a great motivator. We also thought the orienteering was an excellent teambuilding exercise and gave the lads a chance to work together in a totally different way. The whole experience was hugely enjoyable for both team and management and our only complaint was that the weekend was too short!!"
